Hello beautiful people
My Credentials:
Bachelors in Health and Physical Education
Masters in Kinesiology - Concentration in Fitness Management
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist - National Strength and Conditioning Association
My Story
I grew up in Marin County, specifically the Canal neighborhood in San Rafael and then moved to Novato end of middle school. My very Catholic mother send all my siblings and I to Marin Catholic High School, as she wanted to instill a Catholic foundation. After high school, I made my way up to Ashland, Oregon to attend Southern Oregon University where I already knew I wanted to study Health and Physical Education, although that Outdoor Adventure Leadership degree also sounded very nice. I found my way to being an elementary PE teach in the very elementary school that I first attended, Bahia Visa Elementary in the Canal neighborhood. Then I made the decision to apply for graduate school. After being accepted to Saint Mary's College in Moraga, I moved to Danville where I worked as an assistant PE teacher at Bollinger Canyon Elementary in San Ramon. During my last semester of graduate school, I interned with Saint Mary's College Strength and Conditioning. After graduation, I interned at Sonoma State University Strength and Conditioning during their Spring semester, then was sent over to join City College of San Francisco Strength and Conditioning as an intern. I interned at City from Summer 2019 through Fall 2022, except during the pandemic when the world shut down. While interning at city and not getting paid, I worked retail at Kohl's before heading in the city for team lifts.

Right before the pandemic, I started working with the Marin County Parks to create parks programming for the Latino community, but that was challenged by the pandemic that hit right after signing the contract. While working with the Marin County Parks, I started to collaborate with Innovative Health Solutions (IHS) to create ParkRx materials. Innovative Health Solutions' former CEO recruited me to join Innovative Health Solutions. After I finished my contract with the Marin County Parks, I joined IHS as a program assistant and health educator. After almost 5 years with IHS, I am back to a contractor role and I look forward to continuing working with various schools, public health, parks and recreation/open spaces , and many other community based organizations and partners who want to implement or enhance movement and connection with nature.

As a daughter of immigrants and the second oldest of 5 children, I grew up an introvert in a very extroverted world. I have always been ready to lend a helping hand. My immigrant parents instilled a very strong work ethic, like many hard working immigrant parents who have sacrificed a lot for their families to thrive. I enjoy helping others find their path to a better quality of life through nature, movement, and healing.
